Jaron Mitchell Blogs/Create Like A God Podcast/Episode 01 Nothing is Original

Episode 01 Nothing Is Original

Welcome to the inaugural episode of the Create Like A God Podcast. I'm your host, Jaron Mitchell, and today, we're diving into the controversial yet eye-opening concept that "Nothing is Original." In this episode, we'll explore the criticism surrounding the manga and anime "Black Clover," often compared to "Naruto," and discuss why originality in art might be an illusion.

As creators, we stand on the shoulders of giants, learning and drawing inspiration from the works that precede us. From my own experience in developing creative series, to the wise words of Pablo Picasso and Jim Jarmusch, we'll examine why it's not about stealing ideas, but rather about being authentic in how we re-imagine them.

We'll chat about the creative process being akin to a remix, pulling examples from music, literature, and even genetic make-up. I'll share with you the profound impact of the "48 Laws of Power," advocate for the significance of surrounding yourself with inspiring individuals, and discuss the power of building upon existing systems and products in business.

This episode is for the dreamers, the doers, and everyone who believes in the power of creativity and entrepreneurship. So, if you're ready to ignite your passion and challenge the myth of originality, join me on this journey of creation and discovery.

Nothing is Original, I can up with this Topic because of Steal Like An Artist By Austin Klein, Everything Is A Remix by Kirby Ferguson “Nothing is original. Steal from anywhere that resonates with inspiration or fuels your imagination. Devour old films, new films, music, books, paintings, photographs, poems, dreams, random conversations, architecture, bridges, street signs, trees, clouds, bodies of water, light, and shadows. Select only things to steal from that speak directly to your soul. If you do this, your work (and theft) will be authentic. Authenticity is invaluable; originality is non-existent. And don’t bother concealing your thievery - celebrate it if you feel like it. In any case, always remember what Jean-Luc Godard said: “It’s not where you take things from - it’s where you take them to." Jim Jarmusch Go ahead and Grab the Book Steal Like An Artist & watch the Everything Is A Remix video. I also have taken a class at the Los Angeles Film School and realize that all the Hollywood movies are creating pretty much the same thing. I Learn that in Transmedia class with Howard Huston. The Bible even says this. "There is nothing new under the sun (Ecclesiastes) 1:9 The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be, and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.” So don't worry about being original keeping creating.
